Giorgio Baravalle

Giorgio Baravalle runs his award-winning design and publishing company, de.MO, in a historic Millbrook, New York, barn. The name means “Design Method of Operation,” which explains his ideology: finding creative ways to work beyond the traditional. Born in northern Italy, he adds fresh flair to Old World roots.

de.MO has published books by the United Nations, James Nachtwey, Ron Haviv, Antonin Kratochvil, Christopher Anderson, Elliott Erwitt, and Paul Fusco, among others. As Nachtwey, put it, “Giorgio has such a strong sense of social consciousness, the determination to make a difference, and the resolve to make things better. His work presents our photography to the world — helping to make it more permanent.”
