Jeffrey Fagan, professor of law and sociology at Columbia University, is an eminent academic with street credentials and a reporter’s eye. He runs Columbia’s Center for Crime, Community and Law. Fagan is often called for expert testimony in the United States and abroad on racial profiling and the social contagion of violence.
