Jérôme Tubiana /
Jérôme Tubiana, as a kid, talked about Darfur to uncomprehending classmates. His anthropologist parents took him on their constant travels through the Horn of Africa where they warned of impending social upheaval. After journalism studies and a doctorate in African studies, he returned to freelance. He was in Chad when the Darfur war began in 2003, and stayed on in Sudan with an NGO.
