Alan Weisman grew up in a Minnesota swamp (today, that’s a wetland) and never got over it. He has reported on environment from six continents. His book, The World Without Us, now in 32 languages, was Time magazine’s best nonfiction book of 2007 and iTunes' top 2007 nonfiction audiobook. He is senior producer for Homelands Productions and teaches a journalism field program at the University of Arizona.
