Jane Kay has helped shape environmental coverage in America for three decades. At Tucson’s Arizona Daily Star, she exposed a military contractor that leaked solvent into wells. At the San Francisco Examiner and San Francisco Chronicle, her coverage of global warming issues from Brazil to the Alaskan north won numerous awards. Kay directed the Environmental Journalism Program at the University of California-Berkeley.
