Nancy Harmon Jenkins /
Nancy Harmon Jenkins, raised near Penobscot Bay in Maine, learned early to love catching, eating, and cooking fish. For The New York Times and then on her own, she has reported from ports around the Mediterranean, in Southeast Asia, and on the American Pacific coast. Jenkins is the author of a pseudonymous novel, a number of books about food, and a major study of Ancient Egyptian maritime technology.
